Location 

Ahmednagar is the District headquarter in the state of Maharashtra in India, which is located on the west bank of the Sina river,  and about 120 km northeast of Pune and 120 km from Aurangabad. It is situated between North Latitude 18.2o to 19.9 o and East Longitude 73.9 o to 75.5 o. Time zone of Ahmednagar is IST (UTC+05:30). Ahmednagar is at the midway of thePune-Aurangabad State Highway No. 60. It is 120 km far from both the places. Nearest Airports are Pune andAurangabad. Ahmednagar is also well connected by road and by railway. CSRD-ISWR is situated on the station road which is 1 km far from the bus stand and 4 km far from the railway station.

Climate

Ahmednagar city is 649 metres (2,129 ft) above sea level. The weather of Ahmednagar in December is going to be very pleasant. The average temperature will be 22o C. Sunlight is available 9 hours a day during December in Ahmednagar. The coldest temperature recorded in Ahmednagar during December is 7o C; coldest day time temperature is 15o C and the hottest is 29o C. Average humidity in December is 58 % and morning humidity is 70 %. Rainfall is least expected in December. The participants are advised to wear warm cloths.

Meals

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner will be served at the conference venue in the dining hall specially prepared for the International conference at CSRD campus. Tea/Coffee will be available 24X3 on payment. Snacks and cold drinks are also available in the stall on payment.

 No Smoking / No Liquor

The conference venue (CSRD-ISWR campus) is a no- smoking and no liquor zone, delegates are not allowed to bring liquor into the premises.

Religious Practices 

Ahmedanagar is known for the places of pilgrimages. The old church (is about 200 year old), Shirdi Saibaba is about 80 km and the Samadhi of Meharbaba is about 10 km from Ahmednagar. The places of worships like Mosques, Gurudwara, Church, andTemplesare within the radius of 5 km. 

Interested participants will be given guidance and assistance to visit Shirdi / Shani Shinganapur / Meherbaba Samadhi.  Details will be available at the reception on arrival.

Yoga / Exercise

All the interested participants are encouraged to attend the yoga sessions conducted at the conference venue every day morning at5 amduring the conference days.

BPHE Society’s Ahmednagar college campus is 67 acres lusty green campus and the conference participants who reside at the college guest house may go for a morning walk in the college ground and the college premises in the morning and evening.

Cultural evening

The traditional cultural show of Maharashtraand Indiawill be presented on the occasion. On 29th evening, the delegates will be spellbound to witness a series of selected dances ofMaharashtra to be performed by special troops.

First Aid

Medicine for common ailments will be available at the health booth. Please contact Conference Reception for any emergencies and special assistance.

Tour

Excursion to historical places like Ellora / Daulatabad (Aurangabad) will be arranged upon demand of the interested participants.
